I’m probably the only person in Tucson who has written to Ono Hawaiian BBQ (www.onohawaiianbbq.com) asking them to open a Tucson location.
Mama’s is OK, but I’ll still take some rides up to Chandler for the Ono’s fast-casual experience. Larger portions, appetizers, better selection of beverages, and Hawaiian music make the difference.
MamasHawaiianBBQ.com now redirects to a Facebook page. Meh. That’s probably great for their primary clientele – UA students – and they’ll probably sell a lot of chicken wings.
